This series is creative, intelligent, and sexy. Despite the enjoyably lewd scenes and themes, this series dives into heavy topics of gender dynamics and violence, politics, and cultural differences in ways that fit into the narrative and are relevant to the plot. It's a surprisingly intelligent and thoughtful commentary in between the sexy alien fun times and it all meshes together nicely. I enjoyed it immensely and will definitely be following this series and the author going forward! So I bought Book 2 of this, series, since I enjoyed the first one so much. I loved Book 2, for the most part.The pacing was pretty solid.. like things move at a decent pace, maybe sometimes too fast? but the author has a pretty spot on.. way of story telling. So even if its a score of 90%.. its pretty good.Really I loved, everything about the book. New world, new environment, new aliens.. (that were human compatible) The lovable white lithe fuzzball!The discussion of the tech was interesting. It was nice to see the world expanded on. I loved the fact that they had power armor. (Kind of a bad design, but cool none the less) Ah your asking me what was bad about it stranger? well.. if your mech looses an arm, & you have to lose an arm as a pilot as well, that doesn't make much sense... that's why I say its bad design. Its more like a mobile coffin at that point.The only thing that really bugged me a bit about this story, was the ending... one our alien engineer, she was given the ultimate blue balls, being as where the story stopped at. (Shes going to be suffering however long it takes for book 3 to come out, I'm joking of course) I was really curious about another character as well, the Interior agent, it was mentioned she possible got K.I.A.. but the author didn't hammer that out explicitly.. it was just hinted at.And as for our MC, like literally everything just got SHOOK UP at the end.. it left a lot of questions UN-answered, & maybe its b/c I'm into logistics, but I was really curious about it all?I can say without out a doubt, as long as I got the funds, & the author keeps being as awesome as they can... I'll keep buying the series. No pressure. I look forward to future exciting events.
